About the Position
Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of scientific software applications for the Dams safety and ArcGIS Geology Division. • Support and maintenance of agency GIS applications and tools, and end user products, as well as a standalone application developed in .NET, and responsiveness to staff requests. • Supports and Maintenance of Dams safety and office of Geology applications, and responsiveness to staff requests. • Develops and maintains custom GIS tools and components, such as map viewers and spatial analysis utilities, that integrate with agency wide geospatial datasets and systems. • Manages Dams safety and Geology Application Servers. • Will report all Change Requests for changes in Production data and/or code to all Geology and Dams safety and IT staff. • Knowledgeable and experienced in developing code using the .NET platform (VB.NET and C#.NET), ArcGIS API for JavaScript, ArcPy, and ArcGIS Arcade for GIS application development. Supports SQL Server, Oracle, and geodatabases for spatial data integration and management. • Supports Oracle and SQLServer platforms. • Write documentation and train team members, ensuring tools, reference materials and training needed to support projects are available to team members. • Investigate, analyze and resolve issues encountered by users and provide direction for timely issue resolution. • Responsible for testing new GIS tools, patches, and code updates, and for updates to one standalone .NET application. Duties include writing and executing test scripts to ensure no issues will be introduced to the system as a result of a patch or bundle.

Paid Personal Leave and Sick Leave
