Job Summary:

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking talented Application Validation Engineer to join the testing team based out of our San Jose headquarter office. This position will be working closely with BIOS and design team to test and validate storage components, systems, and 3rd party storage components; discover and resolve hardware and software issues collaboratively. The ideal candidate must have solid hands-on experience in enterprise storage and its components with strong testing knowledge, able to work effectively in team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

  • Perform storage components, storage system, and all-flash storage testing
  • Conduct functionality testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, stress and reliability testing
  • Develop and validate newest storage solution for storage platforms with respect to industry standards
  • Evaluate all of the storage components and storage systems testing
  • Conceptualize, plan and execute the new storage design and development of test plan
  • Perform storage system and its component level analysis, definition, testing, performance debugging, optimization and documentation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Minimum of 1 year of working experience in hardware and storage validation environment
  • Strong knowledge of computer architecture
  • Familiar with Linux, Windows, and networking
  • Strong sense of team work and a good team player, strong communication skills in both speaking and writing
  • Knowledge and experience of storage performance benchmarks, tuning, and automation tool

Salary Range

$90,000 - $105,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
