Application Test Technician

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR TASKS:

• Discuss initial specifications from the customer with sales, programming and electrical design.
• Communicate test status, findings, and potential issues to engineering, sales, programming, and other appropriate personnel.
• Work independently on assignments requiring considerable judgment, initiative, and technical problem-solving.
• Review and provide technical feedback on customer documentation and technical write-ups.
• Test, troubleshoot, and debug electrical and software-related issues and work with engineering personnel to identify and resolve problems.
• Provides guidance to other support level employees.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Keep up to date with the latest products being offered by the RLWS.
• Keeps up to date with latest information on test lab equipment.
• Search out and participate, when approved, in further education, seminars, independent reading to develop skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Qualified applicants will have at least an Associate's Degree in Electronics or related field and three (3) or more years of experience working with either electronic circuit boards and/or software testing.
• Excellent customer service skills including patience, phone skills, and the ability to explain technical examples
• Networking and Ethernet experience
• Experience working with WiFi, Bluetooth, and other wireless interfaces
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Teamwork and Communication skills
• Technical Writing experience
• Able to work on daily assignments with general instructions and minimal supervision
