Description


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Investigate and resolve production application, data, and integration issues.
  • Analyze application logs and system behavior to identify root causes of production failures.
  • Use SQL to investigate data issues and troubleshoot application behavior.
  • Monitor applications, batch processes, reports, APIs, integrations, and upstream/downstream dependencies.
  • Manage multiple production incidents while maintaining clear communication with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Maintain runbooks, incident records, troubleshooting procedures, and operational documentation.
  • Improve monitoring and identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational tasks.
  • Participate in rotational off-hours and weekend production support.

Role Requirements:
  • 3 to 5 years of application or production support experience.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Windows-based applications.
  • Strong production troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Experience analyzing application logs.
  • Mid-to-advanced SQL skills.
  • Financial services experience.
  • Understanding of rates, derivatives, or related trading products.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues across applications, databases, data flows, and system dependencies.
  • Strong written documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple incidents in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work onsite in New York City 5 days per week.
  • Availability for rotational off-hours and weekend support.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Python, PowerShell, or Perl scripting experience.
  • Experience building monitoring dashboards or improving production observability.
  • Familiarity with SRE or problem-management practices.
  • Exposure to automation technologies such as Power Automate or AI-assisted development tools.
  • Experience supporting post-trade processing environments.
