Application Programmer III

Introduction

DevEx is a growing department within the Global Technology division at *** that is responsible for:

• Improving the experience for our developers, making it easier to deliver industry-leading solutions, while managing work efficiently and with the right controls
• Advancing our technology platforms through innovation
• Delivering the best digital experience for those managing the technology division
• Driving accessibility of applications for our teammates and customers
• Reducing risk and improving quality across our technology portfolio by aligning to a single enterprise architecture strategy and delivering governance that enables consistency, integration, and automation

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with DB-PostgreSQL strongly preferred
• Capability to evaluate business needs and risks broadly across the enterprise
• Advanced communication and influencing skills that can be used across a diverse audience, including senior management, which drive results without unnecessary conflict
• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
• 3-5 years of experience working with data management, data analytics and/or governance
• Ability to design and recommend governance structures and control frameworks for the ongoing management of data
• Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and make recommendations for the remediation of data governance and quality issues
• Personal initiative to find opportunities, lead change, improve processes and solve problems
• Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Risk Management - Understands the basic elements of risk and control within the organization
• Financials & Resource Management - Basic understanding of financial data and the impact that their role has within a team
• Planning, Execution & Process - Actively participates in planning ceremonies. Has the ability to complete a task/story against plan/sprint commitment. Demonstrates working knowledge of Agile/Waterfall frameworks

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals
• Ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements
• Coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces
