Roles & Responsibilities

The CockroachDB Database Engineer will be a hands-on Engineer responsible for designing, building, and operationalizing CockroachDB as an enterprise Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) on Linux platform. Key Responsibilities: Develop and enforce engineering standards, reference architectures, and best practices Build automation frameworks using Ansible, shell scripting, and infrastructure-as-code principles to enable scalable, repeatable deployments Design and implement self-service provisioning capabilities for application teams Ensure high availability, performance tuning, monitoring, failover, and disaster recovery capabilities Define and implement security, compliance, and governance controls aligned

with enterprise policies Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and escalation point for CockroachDB-related issues Continuously improve platform reliability, efficiency, and developer experience

Salary Range: $96,000 - $120,000 a year
