Application Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for a fast-growing energy equipment manufacturer which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in applications engineering and technical sales of custom gas systems looking to further their career in energy infrastructure.

• Serve as the technical point of contact for distributors, reps, and end users; respond to inquiries and consult on application requirements
• Perform equipment sizing and fluid flow/thermodynamic calculations and recommend configurations for custom-engineered systems
• Read P&IDs and datasheets; prepare accurate technical proposals, quotes, and costing sheets
• Manage order entry, change orders, and CRM records; coordinate with engineering and production on ship dates

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical preferred; Chemical, Electrical, or Aeronautical considered)
• 3-4+ years (ideally 5-8) in technical engineering sales or applications engineering with equipment sizing experience
• Background with gas, boiler/HVAC, heat exchanger, or process equipment; strong customer-facing skills and comfort in a fast-paced growth environment

Bonus Qualifications

• Natural gas, propane, or oil industry experience
• Experience with ERP or quoting systems; AI tool proficiency
