Description

This position involves providing engineering support for the lifecycle management of fuel injection products, with a specific emphasis on Port Fuel Injection systems. You will be tasked with ensuring the optimal performance, validation, and timely resolution of any issues. Your role will bridge the gap between different departments, including engineering, testing, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain, with a particular focus on problem-solving, thorough documentation, and seamless cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
- Innovate and optimize refurbishing processes for diesel injectors including both hydraulically actuated units and common rail systems.
- Offer dedicated engineering support for fuel injection systems and their respective programs.
- Proactively resolve performance concerns, such as test discrepancies, flow audits, and customer-reported issues.
- Spearhead root cause analysis initiatives and corrective action tasks to resolve technical challenges.
- Draft and manage comprehensive technical documents, comprising incident logs, audit reviews, and updates on engineering projects.
- Regularly attend engineering discussions and keep relevant parties informed of project progress.
- Contribute technical insights to maintain product quality and shipping preparedness within the manufacturing and supply processes.
- Collaborate with internal lab teams and external suppliers to rectify technical challenges.
- Advance continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing product efficiency and application durability.

Work Environment:
- Primarily based in an office setting.
- Routine interactions with various departments including engineering, quality, and IT.
- Occasionally support is needed outside traditional working hours, particularly during critical phases or product launches.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive Engineering, or similar disciplines.
- Over five years of experience in roles such as application engineering, product support, or validation engineering.
- Proven experience with diesel engine injectors, encompassing design, validation, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in conducting root cause analyses and designing diesel injectors utilizing 3D SolidWorks.
- Exceptional analytical skills coupled with precise documentation and communication abilities.

Preferred Experience:
- Background in automotive fuel or engine systems is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of production launch processes and sustaining engineering support.
- Success in working with suppliers and manufacturing teams to drive project goals.
