Web Client Developer
Location: Remote (US Based)
About the Role
We're looking for a contract web developer to join our team and help build and maintain front-end applications used by thousands of *** employees to run a billion dollar line of business. You'll work alongside analysts, engineers, QE, and product stakeholders to ship features, improve our development process, and raise the bar on test coverage and delivery speed.
What You'll Do
Design, build and maintain front-end features in Angular, working directly with product owners and end-users
Write and maintain automated tests (unit and acceptance-level) as part of your regular workflow
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and help keep the build/release process healthy
Collaborate with a larger engineering team, including backend/API developers
Bring ideas for improving how the team builds and ships software
What We're Looking For
Technical
Strong hands-on Angular experience. We're currently on modern Angular (v21+); the framework moves fast (Angular 22 as of mid-2026, on a ~6-month release cadence), so what matters more than a specific version number is comfort working in current Angular and staying current as it evolves
Solid core competency in JavaScript/ECMAScript and TypeScript
Fluency in HTML, CSS, and Sass/SCSS
Experience with visual frameworks or design systems a plus
Experience with Java and/or REST APIs a plus
Demonstrated familiarity with, and commitment to, CI/CD practices
Familiarity with DDD, TDD, and/or BDD workflows a plus
Competency writing automated acceptance tests in Cypress (or a comparable framework)
UX or prototyping experience a plus
Experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to speed up development a strong plus
Non-Technical
Highly collaborative, comfortable working directly with end-users and as part of a larger team
Genuinely interested in improving the development process, not just shipping tickets

Boilerplate
Builds computer applications to meet business informational needs and requirements. Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents programs based on technical configurations developed by analysts and project teams. Supports and troubleshoots existing applications. Estimates and tracks time required to complete work, for project budgeting and financial tracking.

Tests and debugs programs to finalize and ensure smooth operation.
Documents program design, coding and other details to guide others in application development, use and maintenance.
Supports, updates and maintains existing systems in response to business needs, system problems or other factors. Coordinates with project teams to design, code, test and document system changes.
Coordinates with project team members to define application requirements. Identifies business needs, assesses available technologies and develops and presents solutions.
Provides high level of customer service, partners with end users in the resolution of problems or in deployment of new applications.

EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Familiarity with relational databases and Structured Query Language (SQL).
Ability to leverage technology background and understanding of latest technologies to apply to development work.
Understanding of procedural and object oriented design.
Experience with Advanced Business Applications Programming (ABAP), Java, Visual Basic and/or other object oriented and procedural programming languages as appropriate to specialty.
Familiarity with applications development process.
Familiarity with software development methodologies as required by associated development team.
General business knowledge required.
