Application Developer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Application Developer to support a company focused on delivering mission-critical technology solutions for government and defense initiatives. This position is on-site at Herndon, VA. The Application Developer will design, develop, and maintain software applications while ensuring compliance with established development standards and mission requirements. Responsibilities for the Application Developer include:

• Develop and maintain applications using established standards, processes, and tools across the full software development lifecycle
• Analyze user requirements and translate them into functional and efficient software solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, ensuring optimal system performance
• Document program development, enhancements, and system capabilities
• Support integration of COTS/FOSS solutions and ensure adherence to software standards

Required Qualifications for the Application Developer include:

• 2-6+ years of relevant software development experience
• Proficiency in Java development and working with XML
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to support multiple operating systems (Linux/Windows)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
• Active Top Secret or TS/SCI security clearance

Compensation for the Application Developer include:

• Salary Range: $200,000-$250,000 depending on experience
