Position: Databricks SME

  • Timeline: Project initiation expected in mid-July through November.
  • Key Ask: A dedicated, highly skilled Databricks SME is required for this phase.

Responsibilities:

  • Support a leading financial institution's Internal Audit function.
  • Focus on evaluating and testing governance and control frameworks for cutting-edge agentic AI capabilities embedded within Databricks.
  • Audit the embedded agentic AI capabilities within Databricks (specifically DataBricks Genie), with a strong focus on Databricks AI agentic governance; crucial areas of focus include the Unity Catalog governance layover and exact configuration.
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm's respectful and courteous work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Unity Catalog governance (access controls, lineage, permissioning)
  • Databricks architecture (data ingestion, transformation, ML/GenAI pipelines)
  • Experience with Databricks ML / GenAI capabilities and workflows
  • Understanding of data lifecycle governance within Databricks
  • Solid understanding of agent-based systems (LLMs, orchestration, workflows)
  • Experience evaluating agent behavior, outputs, and risks
  • Knowledge of AI development lifecycle (training, deployment, monitoring)
  • Familiarity with AI governance concepts (bias, explainability, monitoring, HITL)
  • Experience performing AI control testing and validation (not just ITGCs)
  • This is a hands-on execution role, requiring technical depth beyond traditional IT audit skillsets, with the ability to assess complex AI-enabled systems and risks.
  • Experience in developing or using AI risk frameworks / RCM
  • Location: Hybrid - Jersey City, NJ (preferred)
  • Open to remote as well or near other client offices - Chicago, Columbus, OH or Plano, TX
