Application Analyst

This role is responsible for ensuring application functionality, resolving technical issues, supporting system enhancements, and collaborating with internal teams to improve operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Provide technical and functional support for healthcare payer and health plan applications, including Cedar Gate EZ-Suite (EZ-CAP, EZ-EDI, EZ-NET, and Eligibility Manager).

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Application Analyst to support, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize healthcare payer and health plan applications. This role is responsible for ensuring application functionality, resolving technical issues, supporting system enhancements, and collaborating with internal teams to improve operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have experience in application support, systems analysis, troubleshooting, and healthcare technology, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional support for healthcare payer and health plan applications, including Cedar Gate EZ-Suite (EZ-CAP, EZ-EDI, EZ-NET, and Eligibility Manager).
• Troubleshoot application issues, system errors, processing discrepancies, and user-reported concerns.
• Manage service desk tickets, document resolutions, and ensure timely follow-up.
• Support application configurations, system maintenance, software updates, and enhancements.
• Develop and execute test scenarios to validate system functionality and identify potential issues.
• Collaborate with IT teams, business departments, and external vendors to resolve technical challenges.
• Assist with troubleshooting EDI transactions, application interfaces, and data exchange issues.
• Gather business requirements and document workflows, functional specifications, and system improvements.
• Maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide end-user training and technical assistance as needed.
• Participate in system implementations, application upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in application support, systems analysis, application configuration, or a related technical role.
• Experience within healthcare, health insurance, managed care, medical groups, or third-party administrator (TPA) environments preferred.
• Strong technical troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ticketing systems, application testing, and technical documentation.
• Understanding of healthcare payer applications, EDI transactions, and system integrations preferred.
• Experience with Cedar Gate EZ-Suite applications is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with technical and nontechnical teams.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business, or a related field preferred.
• Four additional years of comparable professional experience may be considered in place of a bachelor's degree.
