Looking for a highly motivated, experienced technician who has strong customer service skills- an individual who enjoys servicing appliances to join our team of exceptional technicians who really know service. We need someone with a wealth of troubleshooting wherewithal, ready to impress our customers and us, and who has an " everything is repairable" attitude. We are a family-owned service company that concentrates on high-end appliances and runs low-volume, high-quality service. Technicians generally run 5-7 service calls daily and work an average of 40-48 hrs a week. Work trucks are provided and are taken home at the end of the workday. Any candidate will have a paid on-the-job interview day to show their ability and skill set in the field with the owner/head technician.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair various appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and cooking/ventilation appliances
- Install home appliances/equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service while on-site
- Perform field service calls to customers' homes or businesses
- Assemble and disassemble appliances for repair or maintenance
- Perform refrigeration repairs on various types of equipment
- Ability to put together detailed estimates on project-type appliance repairs
- Willingness to service unique type appliances
- Ensure the efficient use of materials and keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced
- Perform other duties as needed, which may include cross-training in related positions

Job Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Proficiency in navigating tablet-based technology; use of laptop/computers is required.
- The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance, and the physical ability to perform strenuous work under varied circumstances
- Flexible and variable hours (no weekends)
- Mechanical aptitude for diagnosing and repairing appliances
- Customer service skills to interact effectively with clients
- Experience with high end/ premium brands
- Ability to use technology to diagnose issues
- Familiarity with electronics, plumbing, and mechanical systems in appliances
- 2 years minimum experience as an appliance service technician
- Have or quickly acquire a type 1 refrigeration license
- Proficient in refrigeration work
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

As an appliance repair technician, you’ll work with anything from dishwashers to microwaves to dryers. In other words, you’ll need to be fairly knowledgeable about large appliances, portable appliances, mechanical work, as well as electrical work.
You’ll deal with more than just appliances, though, as a repair technician, you’ll have to deal with people, too.
Appliance repair technicians must also have skills in high mechanical aptitude, have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, work adeptly with repair tools, be okay with lifting heavy machinery, and of course, be incredibly skilled in troubleshooting problems.
