Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Appian QA Engineer with strong expertise in testing Appian-based workflow and business process applications. The candidate should possess deep understanding of the Appian platform, business process testing, integrations, and quality assurance best practices. This is an onsite client-facing role requiring excellent stakeholder management, communication, and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies for Appian applications.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, System, End-to-End, and UAT testing for Appian solutions.
- Validate Appian workflows, process models, interfaces, records, business rules, reports, and integrations.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and traceability matrices.
- Identify, track, and manage defects using JIRA or similar tools.
- Collaborate with Appian Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and client stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.
- Validate integrations involving APIs, databases, external systems, and third-party applications.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, and Retrospectives.
- Support production releases, smoke testing, and post-deployment validation.
- Drive quality best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the project.

- Experience in API testing using Postman, Swagger, or equivalent tools.

- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or ALM.
- Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks is advantageous.
Stakeholder & Client Management Skills
- Ability to work directly with client stakeholders, business users, and product owners.
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in requirement clarification, test planning discussions, and defect triage meetings.
- Ability to manage expectations across multiple stakeholders and provide clear quality status updates.
- Comfortable leading QA discussions and representing the QA function during client interactions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Appian Certified Associate Developer or higher certification preferred.
- Experience working in banking, financial services, insurance, healthcare, or enterprise workflow transformation programs.
- Experience working in onsite/offshore delivery models.

- Ensure test coverage across workflows, integrations, and business processes.
