I’m partnering with leadership at a premier litigation firm with a national practice handling complex civil trials, appeals, and arbitrations. The appellate team works alongside trial counsel on high-stakes commercial and insurance disputes, providing strategic briefing, error-preservation guidance, and advocacy in Texas state and federal courts.

This is an opportunity for an experienced appellate attorney seeking sophisticated matters, meaningful responsibility, flexible scheduling, and a clear long-term path within a respected litigation platform. Compensation is top-market, commensurate with experience, and includes performance-based bonuses.

What We Need

• 8+ years of civil appellate experience in Texas state and/or federal courts

• Ability to manage appeals from notice of appeal through disposition

• Extensive experience drafting appellate briefs, petitions for review, mandamus petitions, and dispositive motions

• Oral argument experience

• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills

• Active Texas law license in good standing

• Commercial or insurance-related appellate experience preferred

• Board Certification in Civil Appellate Law is a plus

What You’ll Do

• Handle civil appeals in Texas state and federal courts

• Draft appellate briefs, petitions for review, mandamus proceedings, and dispositive motions

• Present oral argument and develop appellate strategy

• Advise trial teams on error preservation

• Collaborate on complex commercial and insurance disputes
