Job DetailsWe are seeking an Appeals Specialist to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing appeals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements, and working closely with attorneys to resolve any issues. This role requires a tech-savvy individual with a background in AI who is able to navigate and adapt to the ever-evolving landscape of the legal industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Review and rewrite appeals responses to ensure they are accurate, detailed, and compliant with client requirements.
2. Ensure all language used in appeals meets client rules and standards.
3. Prevent appeals or billing rejections by thoroughly checking all documents for accuracy and compliance.
4. Work closely with attorneys and other team members to resolve any issues related to appeals.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in client billing requirements and legal regulations.
6. Assist with the preparation of reports and other documents related to appeals.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Law, Political Science, or a related field is preferred but not required.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience within a professional environment, preferably within the legal industry.
3. Exposure to legal research and a basic understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
4. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in documents.
5. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex legal information.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
9. A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professional ethics.
