Job Title: Application Support Engineer (Linux / AutoSys / Hadoop)

Location: Chandler, AZ (Hybrid/Onsite as required)

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Rate: $62-$65/hour W2

Overview We are seeking two experienced Application Support Engineers to join a growing production support team in Chandler, AZ.

This is a production support role supporting critical enterprise applications in a Linux environment with a strong focus on batch processing, scheduling, troubleshooting, and operational stability.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support for enterprise applications.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents in Linux environments.
• Support and manage AutoSys batch jobs, schedules, and dependencies.
• Troubleshoot Hadoop-related application and data processing issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive permanent resolutions for recurring issues.
• Coordinate daily support handoffs with offshore production support teams.
• Work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams during incident resolution.
• Monitor application health, batch processing, and production performance.
• Participate in production releases, maintenance activities, and operational readiness.
• Create and maintain operational documentation and support procedures.
• Ensure production SLAs are met while minimizing downtime.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Application Production Support experience.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on experience supporting AutoSys batch scheduling and job management.
• Experience supporting Hadoop environments.
• Background supporting enterprise production applications in a 24x7 environment.
• Experience analyzing logs, troubleshooting failures, and resolving production incidents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting trading platforms or financial applications.
• Experience working with global or offshore support teams.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and incident management.
• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and ticketing tools.
