    Opportunity:

    Advanced Practice - Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric, Nurse Practitioner - Pediatrics, Physician Assistant - Pediatrics, Nurse Practitioner - Acute Care


    Job Details:

    • Coverage needed for 5-10 days per month

    • 14-hour shifts from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM

    • 8-bed pediatric unit with an on-site Pediatric ED; average daily census of 6

    • APP will accept and admit patients

    • APP will cross-cover patients on the floor and Hospital at Home as needed

    • APP may provide virtual ED consults to regional sites

    • ED team participates in Code Blue and PRRT teams alongside the APP

    • CHIPS physician back-up available by phone throughout the shift

    • Private office space on the unit and a call room available

    • Acute Care NP or PA certification required; NPs must hold a PNP-AC or CPNP-AC certification for ages birth to 18 years

    • Family care nurse practitioners are eligible only if they also hold pediatric acute care certification

    • BLS and PALS required

    • DEA license required

    • NC license required (current or eligible)

    • Pediatric experience preferred

    • Average of 6.5 patient encounters per shift
