Job Details:
- Provider must be local and already reside in the immediate area
- Primary location will be Morehead City with potential coverage at additional sites
- Must have experience treating adults and pediatric patients ages 6 months and older
- Must be able to handle high volume patient care as a sole provider while maintaining a positive attitude
- Minimum of 12 months of experience required; new graduates will not be considered
- Must hold an active NC license and an active NC DEA
- Board certification required (BC / NCCPA / NP Boards)
- Required certifications include: Board Certification, PA Cert, Family NP Cert, BLS, and NC DEA
- Provider must be able to see and treat all patients as the sole provider in the center
- Strong interpersonal and soft skills required as provider will work one-on-one with support staff and patients
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required; will need to use EMR for all visits
- Urgent care setting treating adults and pediatric patients of all ages (6 months and up)
- Procedures include incision and drainage, laceration repair, ear irrigation, and other minor procedures
- Average patient volume is approximately 40 patients per day (up to 60 depending on site)
- No call requirements
- Supervising physician provided offsite for locum APPs
- Support staff includes Center Manager, Medical Assistant, PSA, and Supervising Physician (offsite)
- Limited mileage reimbursement only (60 miles total/roundtrip); travel and lodging not provided
- Provider must pass a clinical screening interview prior to onboarding
- EMR training and onboarding required prior to first solo shift; training occurs on set Wednesdays and is mandatory
