Shift:
First Shift (United States of America)
APP General Surgery - Bellevue Medical Center
Will provide service on inpatient floors, in the ED, and in the OR for coverage of the general surgery service.
NPs must have Acute Care Certification.
Schedule:
Full-Time, 1.0 FTE, Exempt
First shift, Monday-Friday
Primary hours generally 6:30 AM-3:00 PM
Some flexibility based on the service schedule
Call Coverage:
First call coverage, from home, 1 night per week
1 weekend per month
Call coverage includes an additional 6% tier pay added to base salary

Duties:
Provide comprehensive care to individuals with abdominal and/or gastrointestinal conditions, including hepato-biliary diseases, forgut disease) such as gastroesophageal reflux disease, hiatal hernia, paraesophageal hernia and gatroparesis) , malignancy, inflammatory conditions of the intestine, and colon and anorectal disease an outpatient and/or inpatient setting for surgical patients. Provide comprehensive care to individuals with abdominal wall issues (such as abdominal wall hernia, fistulas, drains and tubes). Evaluate for emergent conditions such as obstruction, perforation, incarceration, hemorrhage or infection. Diagnose medical conditions, plan and implement interventions, and evaluate patient responses in collaboration with a designated supervising physician. Perform and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic medical and/or surgical procedures.
