    Opportunity:

    Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology


    Job Details:

    • Inpatient only position covering two leaves of absence beginning January 2027 through July 2027, with potential for ongoing locum coverage thereafter

    • Local or out-of-state candidates accepted

    • Weekend-only coverage will be considered

    • Critical Care experience may be required for full-time placement

    • Acute Care Certification is not required

    • Must have a minimum of 2 years of cardiology experience as an APP

    • Shift details: 10-hour days, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday plus weekends; biggest need is 10-hour days on weekends

    • Schedule: 1 FTE position plus weekend coverage need (technically 2 separate needs)

    • 1:1 APP to MD ratio with full support staff available on weekdays and weekends

    • Floor/stepdown workload: 8-12 patients per day; CCU workload: 4-6 patients per day

    • Patient population: Adults

    • EMR: Epic; charting expected to be completed by end of day

    • Hospital bed size: 128 beds

    • Will round on general cardiology patients; critical care coverage only required if experienced

    • Advanced Heart Failure experience is a plus but not required

    • Board Certification required; DEA required; APRN or NCCPA certification required

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience required
