Your Role
Akkodis is seeking an API Developer for a Contract with a client in Detroit, MI. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on expertise in developing Python-based services on AWS and owning API design, integration, and delivery through the full software development lifecycle.
Rate Range: $41/Hour to $56/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
API Developer Job Responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance API solutions using Python and AWS services.
Own the full API lifecycle, including solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
Build and maintain reusable frameworks, components, and microservices to improve platform scalability and developer productivity.
Implement secure integration patterns and RESTful/SOAP APIs while adhering to industry best practices and engineering standards.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Ensure applications meet quality, performance, reliability, observability, and operational excellence standards within an Agile environment.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
8-10 years of hands-on experience in API development, software engineering, and cloud-based application development.
Strong expertise in Python development and AWS services, including API Gateway, Lambda, and cloud-native architectures.
Proven experience designing, developing, and supporting scalable RESTful/SOAP APIs, with knowledge of CI/CD, security best practices, and Agile delivery methodologies.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $56.00 per hour
