_Welcome to Love's:_ The API & Integration Developer I role is an entry-level opportunity within the Enterprise API and Integration team, designed for recent college graduates or early-career professionals with a strong interest in APIs, cloud technologies, and enterprise system integration.


This position supports the design, development, and implementation of scalable integration solutions that enable secure and reliable connectivity across enterprise applications. The role contributes to building and maintaining robust integration frameworks, with a primary focus on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and AWS services.


The API & Integration Developer I partners with cross-functional teams to build, test, and deploy APIs and integrations that connect critical business systems. Responsibilities include adhering to enterprise architecture standards, security protocols, and performance expectations while supporting the stability, scalability, and continuous improvement of enterprise integration solutions.


Job Functions:


+ Develop APIs and Integrations utilizing MuleSoft and AWS platforms

+ Implement secure, scalable, and reusable integration solutions aligned with enterprise standards

+ Contribute to automation, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and reusable frameworks to accelerate delivery

+ Integrating with Salesforce Sales, Service and Marketing Cloud utilizing services such as Heroku Connect and Kafka

+ Integrating with SAP ECC, S4, Ariba, SuccessFactors and various other application systems using both standard adapters and custom integrations

+ Support cloud-based integration development using AWS Lambda, S3, API Gateway, SNS/SQS, EventBridge and CloudWatch

+ Develop event-driven services, integrations and automations in AWS

+ Leverage AI tools to boost development productivity (e.g., RAML, integration flow and transformation generation, automated testing, monitoring)

+ Explore opportunities to embed AI-driven capabilities within integration solutions (e.g., agent 2 agent communication, agent to MCP to existing api’s etc.,)

+ Apply integration best practices within retail and energy industry domains, supporting omnichannel, supply chain, store, fuel, and customer experience transformations


Experience and Qualifications:


+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or related field

+ Demonstrated foundational programming experience (Java, Python, or JavaScript)

+ Understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and HTTP fundamentals

+ Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL

+ Familiarity with cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), preferably AWS

+ Exposure to MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (academic project or certification acceptable)

+ Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, or SQS/SNS

+ Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and version control tools (e.g., Git, pipelines)

+ Exposure to messaging systems (Kafka, SQS, JMS)


Skills and Physical Demands:


+ Foundational programming experience in Java, Python, or JavaScript

+ Understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and HTTP fundamentals

+ Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL

+ Familiarity with cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), preferably AWS

+ Understanding of CI/CD concepts and version control tools (e.g., Git, pipelines)

+ Exposure to messaging systems (Kafka, SQS, JMS)

+ Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

+ Clear written and verbal communication skills

+ Ability to work effectively in collaborative, cross-functional environments

+ Learning agility and willingness to adopt new technologies and integration patterns

+ Attention to detail and disciplined documentation practices
