Accounts Payable Specialist

Hybrid | 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote (Option for 5 Days Onsite)
Schedule: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM or 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Compensation: $60,000-$70,000

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team during an exciting period of growth and process transformation. This role will support a high-volume AP function, ensuring timely and accurate payments while helping the team navigate the implementation of a new AP automation platform.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Process high-volume invoices and support weekly payment runs.
• 
  
• Maintain accurate vendor records and assist with vendor inquiries.
• 
  
• Support the migration from Concur to Ramp and help ensure a smooth transition.
• 
  
• Verify invoices, coding, and payment accuracy while maintaining strong internal controls.
• 
  
• Assist with process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• 
  
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
• 
  
• Support reporting and other AP-related projects as needed.
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment.
• 
  
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large sets of data.
• 
  
• Experience with ERP systems and cloud-based AP platforms.
• 
  
• Understanding of AP processes and how they impact the general ledger.
• 
  
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• 
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• 
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor's degree a plus.
• 
  
• Experience with Ramp or other AP automation tools such as BILL, Tipalti, Stampli, Airbase, or Brex.
• 
  
• Exposure to system implementations, process improvements, or workflow optimization projects.
• 
  
• Experience supporting a multi-entity or rapidly growing organization.
