Accounts Payable SpecialistPay: $23.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Penmac Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a client company. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working with financial records, reconciling accounts, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment.Requirements for the Accounts Payable Specialist
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred
- Insurance industry experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in basic mathematical principles and calculations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a team
Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable for operating expenses (all entities).
- Process accounts payable for brokered invoices.
- Process payments to agents and finance companies with credit balances.
- Maintain detailed and accurate accounts payable files.
- Compile and maintain accurate accounts payable reports.
- Reconcile and respond to broker inquiries/discrepancies.
- Posts client payments and carrier direct bill payments to the accounting system.
- Prepare accurate surplus lines filings and premium tax payments.
