Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist
Location: Torrance, CA
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Pay: $22-$25/hour, depending on experience, with opportunity for a pay increase based on performance.
About the Opportunity
A well-established manufacturing and distribution company is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its growing accounting team. The selected candidate will work closely with the Staff Accountant and support the day-to-day accounting operations while gaining exposure to additional accounting responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently
- Generate customer invoices and manage accounts receivable collections
- Apply customer payments and reconcile outstanding balances
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Assist with month-end closing activities
- Communicate with vendors and customers regarding payment inquiries
- Support the accounting team with administrative and financial reporting tasks
- Perform additional accounting duties as assigned
