    DIMENSIONS/SCOPE OF POSITION:

    The Radiology Clerk provides administrative and technical support to the Imaging and DME departments, helping ensure smooth patient flow, accurate imaging records, and efficient day-to-day operations. This position works closely with radiology technologists, providers, and the DME team to support patient imaging and equipment needs.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Escort patients to and from imaging as needed.
    • Assist with maintaining an efficient patient flow throughout the imaging department.
    • Import and transfer patient imaging studies into the appropriate systems.
    • Create and burn CDs containing patient images for patients, providers, facilities, or other authorized parties.
    • Enter and process imaging orders as directed by providers and clinical staff.
    • Assist radiology technologists with administrative and departmental tasks.
    • Help ensure imaging studies are properly associated with the correct patient and encounter.
    • Provide general clerical and operational support to the imaging department.
    • Assist the DME department with daily administrative and operational needs.
    • Help prepare, organize, and maintain DME-related documentation and supplies.
    • Communicate with clinical staff and other departments to assist with patient and imaging needs.
    • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and company policies.
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support the imaging and DME departments.
    • Enter patient demographics into Imaging system
    • Ability to work in a cooperative manner with others

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Not Applicable

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Previous healthcare, orthopedic, radiology, or medical office experience preferred.

    Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in the English language.

    Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic skills are required.

    Reasoning Ability: Identifies and resolves problems promptly.

    Computer Skills: Must be computer literate. Basic computer skills required. Ability to learn electronic medical record and imaging systems.
