ANTICIPATED: Interim Special Education Supervisor, Maternity Leave coverage position (approx timeframe from June - October 2026)

The leave replacement Supervisor, Special Education, shall provide leadership, and direction to districts Special Education instructional staff in developing and maintaining quality curriculum and pedagogical practices. The Supervisor will ensure alignment of curricula to New Jersey State Learning Standards.

Performance Responsibilities: • Lead curriculum development within specified subject area. • Lead professional development reflecting best practices within the discipline. • Assist in the collection, analysis, use and monitoring of test data for the purpose of improving the content and delivery of the districts Special Education curriculum. • Lead the supervision and evaluation of teachers in assigned departments. • Collaborate with the District Technology director in the implementation of effective technological practices within the classroom. • Assist in the development and monitoring of the annual school budget relevant to curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development. • Function as an official liaison to the Board of Educations Curriculum Committee and community as needed. • Lead the coordination of SGOs and Professional Development Plans within assigned departments. • Assist the building principals as needed in the development of flexible scheduling for district programming and staffing needs. • Designs and Monitors the districts Extended School Year Program. • Attend Board meetings, as needed, and prepare such reports for the Board of Education as the Superintendent may request on the status of district programs and services. • Meet regularly with the Director, Special Services and the leadership team on matters related to curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development. • Additional responsibilities as outlined by the Director, Special Services.

Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey Certification as a Principal or Supervisor. • Experience with Special Education in a Pre-school preferred. • CST experience preferred. • Proven leadership in school improvement, program development, and curriculum integration. • Strong leadership, written, and verbal communication skills. • Demonstrated leadership in testing, test data analysis. • Demonstrated knowledge related to instructional pedagogy and technology integration.
