    Position Summary

    The Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality instruction aligned to New York State learning standards and district curriculum. The position supports the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development of all students while fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

    Building Principal

    Performance Responsibilities

    The Teacher shall:

    Instruction & Curriculum

    • Plan and deliver standards-based instruction aligned with district curriculum
    • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
    • Use a variety of instructional strategies to actively engage students
    • Integrate technology and instructional resources effectively

    Assessment & Data

    • Design and implement formative and summative assessments
    • Analyze student data to inform instruction and improve outcomes
    • Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and families

    Classroom Environment

    • Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom climate
    • Promote positive student behavior and social-emotional growth
    • Implement district-approved behavior and safety procedures

    Collaboration & Communication

    • Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), grade-level, or department meetings
    • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
    • Collaborate with support staff, specialists, and administrators

    Professional Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate records as required by district and state guidelines
    • Participate in professional development activities
    • Comply with district policies, procedures, and contractual obligations
    • Perform other duties as assigned by administration

    Terms of Employment

    • Salary, schedule, and benefits in accordance with the EITA contract
    • Appointment subject to Board of Education approval

    Evaluation

    Performance will be evaluated in accordance with district procedures, New York State regulations, and in accordance with the EITA contract.
