POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Management Secretary (12 months B)
Reports to the Director of Human Resources & Compliance
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in all phases of administering health benefits.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
- Must be computer literate and proficient in the following: Frontline, Google Suite, CSI.
- Must have a working knowledge of payroll procedures.
- Must understand privacy laws and maintain a working knowledge of laws concerning all health benefits.
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:
- Prepare yearly contracts and computations for all employees.
- District Liaison - works with the district Healthcare Provider, gets quotes for negotiations and attends workshops for their products.
- Inputting of Healthcare, Prescription and Dental information to ensure employees' coverage begins timely.
- Manage the compliance of benefit forms to ensure accuracy and communicate to participants any discrepancies requiring new forms to be completed.
- Oversees the production of all benefit plan communication materials and ensures the timely delivery of all benefit forms and enrollment materials to eligible associates.
- Maintain healthcare, prescription and dental records - making sure all information is correct for accuracy in billing.
- Prepare monthly healthcare, prescription and dental spreadsheets for payment.
- Administer and track COBRA benefits to all eligible employees.
- Administer and track FMLA to all eligible employees.
- Administer and track NJFLA to all eligible employees.
- Workers' Compensation - follow up with doctors, employees and carriers.
- Input attendance days as needed/requested.
- Provide attendance records to principals, as needed.
- Responsible for tracking sick leave.
- Responsible for tracking personal leave.
- Completes NJ state reporting as needed. (NJSLEDS)
- Prepares employee accounts and manages employee data within the GCN online professional development coursework platform. Assigns required courses, monitors completion, and maintains training records. Provides reports regarding outstanding and completed training.
- Attends workshops to update new healthcare laws.
- Initiate, participate in and complete special projects that enhance the overall performance of the department.
- Oversee system and database maintenance and updates to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Performs any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Human Resources, Superintendent, or designee.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-month position
SALARY RANGE: Per TTEA Collective Bargaining Agreement

The annual performance evaluation will be based upon this position description and any applicable State regulations and/or Board of Education policies.
