Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) Senior Consultant to lead enterprise automation initiatives across diverse environments.
The ideal candidate will be a senior technologist with deep expertise in Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes.
As a senior/principal-level consultant, the candidate will serve as the primary automation architect and technical authority, responsible for designing enterprise automation strategies, implementing enterprise-grade automation frameworks, and guiding modernization and orchestration initiatives.
This is a high-autonomy role requiring the ability to translate business objectives into actionable automation architectures with minimal oversight.
Required Experience
- 12+ years of professional IT experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).
- 3+ years of experience working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Knowledge and experience with Red Hat OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.
- Proven experience architecting and delivering enterprise automation solutions.
- Experience designing and implementing automation strategies and frameworks.
- Strong experience with enterprise automation and orchestration initiatives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions with:
- SRE teams
- Platform teams
- Engineering teams
- Business and technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership with minimal oversight.
Required Certifications
Candidates must hold one or more Red Hat certifications, and certifications must be verifiable through Red Hat's certification verification system.
Preferred certifications include:
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
- Red Hat Certified Specialist / Certification related to Ansible Automation Platform
- Other relevant Red Hat certifications

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical authority and automation architect for enterprise automation initiatives.
- Design and implement enterprise-wide automation strategies using Ansible and AAP.
- Architect and deliver scalable, secure, and reusable automation frameworks.
- Design, install, configure, and administer Ansible Automation Platform.
- Develop and maintain Ansible automation for Linux, Windows, and cloud environments.
- Work with Automation Controller, Execution Environments, and Automation Hub.
- Support enterprise orchestration and modernization initiatives.
- Integrate automation solutions across infrastructure, platform, cloud, and application environments.
- Collaborate with SRE, Platform, Engineering, and stakeholder teams.
- Translate business and technical requirements into automation architectures.
- Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and automation strategy sessions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to automation and platform teams.
- Troubleshoot complex automation and infrastructure issues.
- Establish automation best practices, standards, governance, and reusable frameworks.
- Work independently and drive initiatives from architecture through implementation.
