Summary
We are seeking an experienced Ansible Automation Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) 2.x, Playbook development, infrastructure automation, configuration management, Python scripting, and API integration. The ideal candidate will have experience with Automation Controller, Automation Hub, Event-Driven Ansible, ServiceNow, CI/CD, GitOps, and AI-assisted automation development using tools such as Claude Code.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Ansible Playbooks, Roles, Collections, and Workflow Templates
- Design and implement infrastructure automation and Configuration as Code solutions
- Automate server provisioning, OS/middleware configuration, patching, compliance, and operational tasks
- Implement configuration drift detection and automated remediation
- Administer Ansible Automation Controller and Automation Hub
- Develop Event-Driven Ansible automation for event response and remediation
- Develop Python scripts and integrate Ansible with REST APIs and enterprise platforms
- Integrate automation workflows with ServiceNow, ITSM, CI/CD, and GitHub
- Implement GitOps practices and self-service automation solutions
- Use AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code for playbook development, code generation, debugging, optimization, and documentation
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) 2.x
- Experience developing Ansible Playbooks, Roles, Collections, and Workflow Templates
- Experience with Automation Controller and Automation Hub administration
- Strong knowledge of Configuration Management and Configuration as Code
- Experience with infrastructure and operational automation
- Proficiency in Python, YAML, and Jinja2
- Experience with Git/GitHub and CI/CD practices
- Experience with REST API integration and API-based orchestration
- Knowledge of ServiceNow and ITSM workflow integration
- Understanding of Event-Driven Ansible and GitOps practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
