Position: Team Lead Location: New Albany, Oh Department: Anodizing Reports to: Operations Monday - Friday, 6 am - 2:30 pm _____________________________________________________________________________ JOB SUMMARYThis production floor position is responsible for leading daily operations of the Racking, Take-Off and Autoload lines. Leads the activities of other employees through technical knowledge, experience and sound decision-making abilities to support product quality and ensure customer satisfaction. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Leads day-to-day activities and communications of departmental production team.
- Trains and develops departmental team and leads employees in Continuous Improvement Programs.
- Approves vacation requests, time-off and supports daily.
- Supervises work output and effectiveness for team members.
- Ensures accurate training of employees in proper job performance and technique.
- Partners with cross-functional team. Responds to Production Operations and Quality Control to ensure product output meets throughput and quality standards set forth by Operations and Quality management.
- Document the progress of new employees and assist the Anodizing Process Manager in the 90-day evaluations for these employees.
- Observe the progress and performance of all rackers and take-off personnel and assist the Anodizing Process Manager and Plant Manager in the evaluation of these employees.
- Track and post daily departmental metrics as established by Plant Management.
- Ensure inventory of departmental PPE is adequate to perform regular production.
- Assist with any other duties and projects as required.
QUALIFICATIONS - Good organizational and communication skills
- Able to work overtime when needed
- Ability to do shift work as needed
- One-year prior leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting, and experience in a lean manufacturing environment is a plus.
