A day in this role

When you step onto our production floor, your bench is stocked, your ESD strap is on, and your focus is set on building high-reliability Graphic Annunciator Panels that keep facilities informed and safe. You’ll interpret work orders and drawings, prepare cables, route and dress wiring to exacting workmanship standards, and bring panels to life with precise solder joints. As units move from station to station, you’ll verify quality through visual checks, functional testing, and meticulous documentation—catching issues early and partnering with supervisors and quality to keep everything on track. Throughout the day, you’ll keep your area organized to 5S principles, record progress on travelers, and jump in on related tasks to help the team meet demand.

What you’ll build and verify

• Assemble Graphic Annunciator Panels and subassemblies using hand tools and fixtures (screwdrivers, crimpers, cutters, wire strippers, soldering irons).
• Prepare and terminate cables and connectors; solder wires/cables to terminals and PCBs per specification; neatly route and tie wiring bundles.
• Read and apply work orders, BOMs, assembly prints, schematics, and step-by-step instructions.
• Perform in-process and final inspections (visual and functional) and log results.
• Operate test gear such as multimeters, continuity testers, and power supplies; capture and record test data.
• Flag and isolate nonconforming material or process deviations; promptly communicate with supervision/quality and segregate suspect product.
• Maintain accurate records (paper or electronic travelers) and report time.
• Support a clean, organized, well-stocked workstation in line with lean/5S.
• Follow all safety, ESD, and company policies; perform related duties as assigned to support production needs.

What you bring

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent mix of education/experience).
• 1+ year of assembly experience in manufacturing; electronics and soldering experience preferred.
• Comfort following detailed written procedures and standardized processes.
• Mechanical aptitude and confidence with common hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Basic math and accurate measurement skills (rulers/calipers).
• Clear, professional communication; able to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
• A commitment to ESD, safety, and quality practices.

Preferred extras

• Proven soldering to terminals and circuit boards per spec.
• Harness and cable assembly experience, including crimping to manufacturer specifications.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP and electronic work instructions.
• Background in a regulated environment (ISO 9001 or similar).

Physical and working conditions

• Manufacturing/production floor environment.
• Frequent standing/sitting, repetitive hand motions, fine motor work.
• Lift/move materials up to 25–40 lbs as needed.
• Ability to see small parts/markings (with corrective lenses if required).
• Wear required PPE; follow ESD controls.
• Overtime may be required based on business needs.
