    Description

    Minimum Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED and two years of advanced clerical experience to include public contact, or customer service; OR High school diploma or GED and two years of animal handling/care experience are required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts. Completion of college coursework may substitute for the required work experience on a year-for-year basis.

All Animal Service employees are department essential and are required to work alpha/bravo shifts during state of emergencies or other declared emergencies (ex. disease outbreaks, hoarder cases, etc.)Employee may be re-assigned to other county locations (i.e. shelter evacuation centers, decontamination centers, phone banks, off-site pet housing, etc.) to perform other duties in support of emergency effort.
