Maintains names of volunteers at the Christmas Distribution Center in a book to be kept current at all times. Calls and recruits volunteers if each time slot is not filled, reviewing the previous year's list of names and numbers; finds replacement volunteer if a volunteer calls and is unable to report. Maintains the statistics, placement and follow-up for all Angels at all locations. Assists with an Appreciation Program for the Christmas Program employees and Christmas volunteers at the end of the season. Contacts Corporate Sponsors on the number of angels they require, preparing materials and angels for delivery. Answers all telephone calls in a polite and courteous manner, obtaining answers from appropriate personnel if answer is not known. Provides accurate and complete information about Christmas Programs. Compiles information for booklets, kits, notebooks for meeting and recruitment of volunteers and/or Christmas employees. Evaluates and provides a report of the success of the Christmas Program at the end of the season.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs other related work as required. MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT: General Office Equipment MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: High School diploma or G.E.D. and Two years experience working in an office environment or Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Valid driver's license KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of general office practices and procedures. Knowledge of effective and efficient record keeping. Knowledge of the English language. Ability to maintain an efficient and organized filing system to ensure that items can be retrieved in a timely manner. Ability to answer the telephone in a courteous and tactful manner. Ability to maintain the confidential nature of the work. Ability to follow instructions, plan and organize work, and work under limited supervision. MENTAL AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to sort and file documents alphabetically and numerically. Ability to operate various general office equipment including a telephone, typewriter, and computer Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail with constant breaks in concentration associated with answering phones or speaking in person to clients requiring assistance. Duties are usually performed seated; however, work at the Christmas Distribution Center will require walking, standing, lifting and carrying. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.
