    Description

    This position is responsible for:

    • Manages the Angel Tree Program; recruits, trains, coordinates the work of volunteers ensuring sample staff to meet Christmas program needs; prepares records and reports for the Christmas program.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Interviews, recruits, screens and selection of volunteers for the Christmas Angel Tree Program.
    • Posts listing of volunteers at Malls to ensure staffing at all times.
    • Maintain names of volunteers at the Christmas Distribution Center in a book to be kept current at all times.
    • Call and recruits volunteers if each time slot is not filled, reviewing the previous year's list of names and numbers. Find replacement volunteer if a volunteer calls and is unable to report.
    • Maintain the statistics, placement and follow-up for all Angels at all locations.
    • Assists with an Appreciation Program for the Christmas Program employees and Christmas volunteers at the end of the season.
    • Contact Corporate Sponsors on the number of angels they require, preparing materials and angels for delivery.

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

    • Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
    • Work may require driving a vehicle where there may be discomforts associated with heavy traffic or changes in weather.
    • Duties are usually performed seated; however, work at the Christmas Distribution Center will require walking, standing, lifting and carrying.
    • Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.

    Education and Experience:

    • High School diploma or G.E.D. and
    • Two years experience working in an office environment or
    • Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
    • Valid driver's license
