Job Summary:

Join our fast-paced Operating Room team as an Anesthesia Technician and Perioperative Patient Care Associate, working side-by-side with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, surgeons, nurses, and trauma teams in a nationally recognized Level 1 Trauma Center.

This is a unique opportunity to gain direct, hands-on experience in the Operating Room while supporting life-saving surgical and emergency procedures. What You'll Do

As an essential member of the anesthesia team, you will help prepare and maintain a safe, efficient, and ready Operating Room environment while directly assisting anesthesia providers during procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work side-by-side with anesthesiologists and CRNAs during surgical and emergency procedures
  • Assist anesthesia providers with airway management and intubations by preparing and handing off equipment
  • Anticipate provider needs and ensure specialized equipment is immediately available for difficult airways and emergency situations
  • Perform safety checks and set-up of anesthesia machines prior to every surgical case to ensure equipment is functioning properly and ready for patient care
  • Restock and organize anesthesia supplies and equipment between and during surgical cases to maintain efficient workflow
  • Gain experience with sterile procedures including scrubbing, gowning, and gloving techniques in the Operating Room environment
  • Prepare, set up, and maintain patient monitoring equipment, breathing equipment, and other devices used to safely monitor patients during surgery
  • Support on-call, weekend, and emergency coverage as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher in a health-related field (other degrees with relevant coursework considered) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification
  • Demonstrated experience as part of a care team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant or LPN experience
  • EMT or Advanced EMT credentials will be considered

Work Days:

Rotating Shifts, On-Call as needed, to include nights and weekends
