Roosevelt University's College of Science, Health and Pharmacy seeks to fill a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position on a 9-month renewable contract, beginning August 2026.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary responsibility of this position is to provide in-person lecture and laboratory instruction in Anatomy and Physiology courses for health science majors. Class assignments may include both day and evening courses. Additional responsibilities include student support, program assessment, and participation in department and college-level working groups and governance.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

• Providing exceptional classroom and laboratory instruction in the 2-semester A&P sequence and in select upper-level and graduate courses as appropriate.
• Incorporating evidence-based teaching methods that enhance learning outcomes for all students.
• Serving as a resource for students as they navigate health science degrees and majors
• Participating in the review, improvement, and adoption of course materials, teaching methodologies, and assessment methods.
• Engaging in scholarly and/or professional development activities that inform teaching practice

The salary range for this position is $61,000-$65,000

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Master's degree in biological science, health science or related field
• Documented successful college teaching experience in human anatomy and physiology

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in biological science, health science or related field
• Experience using contemporary teaching methods to support student learning inside and outside of the classroom
• Experience in incorporating technology into teaching, including the use of tools such as open educational resources, laboratory data collection systems, and course management software
• Experience in assessment, including using assessment results to improve course content and student learning outcomes
• Experience in collaborative instruction
• Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor students in a range of majors and programs
