Anaplan Product Owner - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Anaplan Product Owner for a hybrid position with a Financial Services Organization located in Newark, NJ. This is a 6 month contract opportunity.

The Product Owner is the bridge between finance business users and the Anaplan delivery team. This role owns the Anaplan roadmap and backlog, translates business needs into functional specifications, and coordinates delivery through testing and user acceptance. The organization has a substantial backlog of future roadmap items, so this role must prioritize and sequence work across modules. This position requires being onsite two days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Own and maintain the Anaplan product roadmap and backlog, aligned to the organization's finance transformation goals
• Develop a strategic, module-by-module roadmap covering consolidation, compensation expense, revenue planning and expense planning
• Gather requirements from finance stakeholders and translate them into clear functional specifications for the architect and model builders
• Prioritize enhancements and new development, balancing near-term needs (compensation expense model go-live) against longer-term roadmap items
• Coordinate with the technology team, the finance support team (first- and second-level support) and the data platform and integration team
• Plan and manage testing and lead user acceptance testing before production deployment
• Manage release readiness, change communication and stakeholder expectations
• Triage escalated issues from finance support and drive resolution with the architect and builders
• Ensure documentation is maintained for requirements, design decisions and model changes

Requirements:

• Experience as an Anaplan product owner, business analyst, functional lead or similar role in an FP&A or finance transformation environment
• Strong working knowledge of FP&A processes: planning, forecasting, workforce planning and financial reporting
• Working knowledge of Anaplan, with certification (at least Level 1 or 2; Level 3 a plus)
• Demonstrated ability to write functional specifications and manage a prioritized backlog
• Experience managing UAT and production release processes
• Strong stakeholder management skills across finance, product and technology teams

Desired skills:

• Financial services or fintech background
• Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery methods
• Exposure to Oracle ERP, HighRadius or similar finance applications
• Experience with data governance and handling of sensitive compensation data
