    How you''ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

    Delta's Integrated Operations Planning team aligns strategic plans across operations, develops key operational inputs to the airline schedule, and designs cross-divisional solutions to achieve operational goals. The Analytics Specialist, Airport Planning Integration, supports this work by organizing and analyzing planning data to enable rapid decision-making. This role partners closely with leaders and business partners to understand operational processes, address emerging challenges, and develop data-driven solutions that improve operational performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop new schedule KPIs and create automated reporting in support of executive-level future planning reviews
    • Produce robust documentation and training materials to assist other teams in interpreting and analyzing future schedules
    • Be the central owner of schedule data for operations teams, partnering with Network Planning to maintain consistent and accurate data flows, as well as developing new data sources and structures
    • Develop a thorough understanding of the schedule development process, including timelines and various schedule constraints
    • Partner with Network planning teams to create schedule feedback loops that resolve conflicts and provide feasible solutions in future schedules
    • Directly create and work with team members on written materials that distill findings and insights for a variety of audiences
    • Sustain a culture of independence and curiosity, driving cross-divisional decision making with little direction and supporting team members to look for problems to solve and then come up with innovative ideas
    • Identify and resolve or escalate, as appropriate, potential roadblocks within projects
    • Enjoy working in a high-profile environment with fluid priorities, ambiguity and extremely aggressive timelines
    • Be intellectually curious, ask questions, and speak up when they have an idea
    • Have a team first attitude, with the success of our team and business partners as their top priority
    • Distill information and synthesize complex problems and processes to form a cohesive story for leaders across the organization
    • Present findings to Operations Analytics leaders

    What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

    • Strong business acumen, statistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and able to manage complex processes with cross-functional teams
    • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal skills, with the ability to produce concise, relevant, strategically driven documents and presentations for senior leaders
    • Be a strong team player, detail oriented, and perform well under pressure
    • 3+ years of experience in analysis, information science, data visualization, or other relevant quantitative field
    • Direct experience communicating with stakeholders, delivering projects end-to-end, and working collaboratively to drive improvement in the overall analytical support of Delta operations worldwide
    • Must be comfortable working in group and individual settings.
    • Experience with analytical tools, such as SQL, Python, and Tableau or Power BI required
    • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
    • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
    • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
    • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

    What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

    • Bachelor''s degree and 3 years work experience in Data Analytics, Decision Science, Engineering, Business, Finance or related analytical field OR Masters level degree OR equivalent experience AND/OR a combination of both
    • Previous experience in operational roles
