At this time, Wayfair will not sponsor applicants for employment authorization for this position for the following work visas: STEM OPT EAD, H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, O-1, J-1, or TN.
Wayfair is continuing to expand our commitment to hiring and supporting talent early in their careers, focusing on filling opportunities with recent graduates who have 0-3 years of work experience. We are continually recruiting candidates for this position on a rolling basis as we have a high volume of openings that become available.
Who We Are:
At Wayfair, we support upcoming graduates in launching their careers in e-commerce and technology. With endless opportunities across technology, commercial, operations, marketing, and finance - there is a path for everyone. As a full-time employee, you'll be challenged to solve complex problems and build solutions to company-wide initiatives.
Wayfair is looking for an Analyst to join our Purchasing Operations team. This team works across Wayfair’s Enterprise functions to optimize Wayfair’s purchasing — identifying opportunities to simplify, spotting patterns, applying AI and automation, improving decision-making, and building more scalable ways of operating.
We are looking for someone who is naturally curious about how things work, quick to spot unnecessary complexity, and motivated to find simpler ways of getting work done. Regardless of experience, but you should be comfortable asking good questions, learning quickly, working through ambiguous problems, and using data and technology to build practical solutions.
You do not need to come in as an expert in AI, automation, or procurement. We are looking for someone with strong analytical instincts, a willingness to learn, and a bias toward action. The right person will enjoy digging into data, understanding how a process works, learning new tools, and helping turn messy business problems into clear and practical solutions.
This role offers broad exposure across automation, AI, analytics, procurement, finance, project management, and business operations.
What You’ll Do:
Work with teams across the business to understand how work gets done today, identify pain points and unnecessary complexity, and help design simpler and more effective processes.
Support the development of AI- and automation-enabled solutions that reduce manual work, improve quality, speed up decision-making, or make work easier for teams.
Learn and use a growing set of tools and technologies, including workflow automation platforms, generative AI tools, enterprise systems, and data sources.
Break down ambiguous business problems into clear questions, structured analyses, and practical next steps.
Use data to understand problems, size opportunities, evaluate results, and help measure the impact of new solutions.
Partner with teams across Finance, Legal, Talent, Procurement, Technology, Security, and other Enterprise functions to support projects from initial problem definition through implementation.
Support strategic procurement and sourcing initiatives, including analyzing supplier proposals, identifying savings opportunities, and improving how Wayfair manages purchasing and supplier relationships.
Help create and improve self-service resources, templates, processes, and standards that make it easier for teams across Wayfair to adopt automation.
Build clear reporting and presentations that help stakeholders understand key findings, recommendations, and results.
Stay curious about new AI and automation capabilities and help the team evaluate where they can meaningfully improve how work gets done.
What You’ll Need:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, analytical, technical, or business-related field such as Economics, Engineering, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Analytics, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
0–3 years of relevant experience, including internships, co-ops, research, consulting, operations, analytics, technology, or other transferable experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfort working with data using tools such as Excel or Google Sheets.
Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal settings.
Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by Wayfair now or in the future. Visa sponsorship includes STEM OPT EAD, H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, O-1, J-1, or TN.
What We’re Looking For
A strong instinct for simplification — you notice when a process is more complicated than it needs to be and naturally look for a clearer or easier way.
Curiosity about AI, automation, technology, and how they can change the way businesses operate.
Comfort using generative AI as part of your work, schoolwork, or personal projects and an appetite to keep learning new tools.
Technical curiosity and a willingness to build. Experience with workflow automation, SQL, scripting, APIs, low-code tools, or AI development tools is helpful but not required.
An interest in understanding the problem before jumping to the solution.
A willingness to question existing processes rather than assume the current way of working is the right one.
An instinct for when technology can help and when the better answer may simply be to eliminate or simplify a step.
Ability to take complex or incomplete information and organize it into clear takeaways.
Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the broader goal.
A high degree of ownership and initiative. You are comfortable figuring out what you need to learn and asking for help when you need it.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized in a fast-moving environment.
A collaborative working style and an ability to build strong relationships with teammates and partners.
Experience in consulting, business operations, analytics, procurement, finance, systems, or another process-focused environment is a plus, but not required.
