Analytical Development Research Associate

The Analytical Development Research Associate will support the cell and gene therapy analytical development team through hands-on laboratory work, including assay development, sample testing, data analysis, and assay troubleshooting. Required Experience/Skills for the Analytical Development Research Associate: Strong hands-on cell culture and aseptic technique experience; stem cell or immune cell experience is a plus.

Our client is seeking an Analytical Development Research Associate to join its cell and gene therapy analytical development team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$40/hr - $50/hr

Position Overview:
The Analytical Development Research Associate will support the cell and gene therapy analytical development team through hands-on laboratory work, including assay development, sample testing, data analysis, and assay troubleshooting. This role will help advance innovative therapies through analytical method development and testing activities.

Responsibilities of the Analytical Development Research Associate:

• Lead and execute experiments supporting analytical method development, optimization, qualification, and lifecycle management.
• Independently plan and run sample testing and data analysis, applying strong scientific judgment.
• Run and troubleshoot cell-based assays, including flow cytometry and immunostaining-based imaging.
• Maintain clear, compliant documentation under GMP-like practices.
• Author and revise SOPs, protocols, technical reports, and study plans.
• Present data and technical recommendations to cross-functional teams.

Required Experience/Skills for the Analytical Development Research Associate:

• Strong hands-on cell culture and aseptic technique experience; stem cell or immune cell experience is a plus.
• Experience with analytical methods for cell therapy or biologics, such as flow cytometry or imaging-based assays.
• Working knowledge of GMP-like laboratory practices, documentation, and quality expectations.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Analytical Development Research Associate:

• Hands-on analytical method development experience, including characterization and release assays.
• Prior experience as an Analytical Development Research Associate or in a similar cell therapy laboratory role.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field with 5+ years of experience.
• Master's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field with 2+ years of experience.
