Job Description and Duties
Do you want to support the ecological and economic well-being of the largest estuary on the West Coast? The Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Conservancy (Conservancy) is seeking an experienced analyst to provide strategic and operational support through research, analysis, project management, process improvement, and executive-level reporting to advance organizational goals and priorities. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a team environment benefiting the Delta community while gaining experience in a variety of areas and developing expertise that is widely sought by state employers. The Conservancy is a small, committed team that works across departments and disciplines to protect, enhance, and restore the Delta's economy, agriculture and working landscapes, and environment.

Under the general direction of the Deputy Executive Officer, the Strategic Operations Advisor leads organizational improvement efforts, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional projects that enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and delivery of Conservancy programs and services. The incumbent manages implementation of strategic priorities, facilitates organizational change, leads process improvement initiatives, coordinates assigned administrative projects, and provides analysis and recommendations to support continuous improvement and operational effectiveness.
This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year.
This position may require travel.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment. The Department of General Services does not participate in E-Verify for employment authorization purposes.
