They will also assist in providing information to support decisions by key stakeholders.#LI-HybridAccountabilitiesAssure the accuracy and timeliness of tax return preparation, payment of taxes and the maintenance of appropriate recordsDevelop processes to ensure tax compliance performed accurately and timelyParticipate as a lead member of the tax team to assure that indirect taxes are properly reflected in the accounting records of the company in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and applicable tax laws and regulationsParticipate as a lead member during audits of the Company's tax complianceMaintain good relationships with outside taxing authorities while representing the Company's tax needs and issuesConduct research related to tax laws and regulations to minimize tax liabilities while complying with those laws and regulationsProvide accurate and timely information to other departments to facilitate budgeting, planning, reporting and ratemaking activitiesPerform other tax related special projects as neededEducation and Experience
3+ years of experience in corporate taxKnowledge of the applicable federal, state and municipal tax laws/regulationsBachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economic or related fieldProficient in the use of MS office products; SAP or similar; Power Plan and Power Tax exposure preferred; Hyperion smart-view preferredExcellent communication skills (both written & oral) and interpersonal skills to effectively work with other team members and different departmentsCompensation DataFull base salary range $80,000.00- $110,000.00 per year * Liberty considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education, training and skills, and geographic location.Our purpose is sustaining energy and water for life, and it is demonstrated in everything we do as a business and as an employee team.As the successful candidate
