The Judicial Resources and Technical Assistance (JRTA) Unit within CFCC has a critical need for a temporary Analyst III (ADA Analyst) to support accessibility compliance work associated with Family and Juvenile Law Advisory Committee rules and forms proposals. The committee is beginning implementation of new legislation through the Rules and Forms process, with approximately 15 proposals impacting 15 rules of court and 15 forms that must be reviewed and remediated for accessibility before publication. The temporary Analyst III will serve as JRTA's accessibility specialist, ensuring that publicly facing materials, including rules and forms proposals, training presentations, resource materials, and reports, comply with WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards and ADA requirements. The position will work closely with attorney authors and program staff to review, remediate, and prepare materials for publication on the Judicial Council's website while maintaining compliance with current state and federal accessibility requirements.
This temporary resource is critical due to the significant volume of accessibility remediation work and the federal accessibility rule issued by the U.S. Department of Justice requiring state and local government websites to comply with accessibility standards by April 26, 2027. Without dedicated Analyst III support, JRTA will face challenges meeting statutory implementation timelines and ensuring timely, compliant publication of required public-facing materials.
The Analyst will support the Unit within CFCC. Position duties and responsibilities include:
- Making all juvenile rules proposal documents meet ADA accessibility
- Compiling and updating juvenile job aids and materials
- Supporting the accessibility of documents for the Family and Juvenile Law Advisory Committee.
- Creating resources for the Family and Juvenile Law Advisory Committee in-person meeting.
