Job Description and Duties

Patton State Hospital, Human Resources is accepting applications for at least one (1) Permanent, Full-time Analyst II. Under the Direction of Hospital Administrator, this position performs a broad range of duties in support to the Hospital Administrator, Assistant Hospital Administrator, and Ancillary Patient Support Manager. Performs duties of a supportive and analytical role. May also consider a highly qualified Analyst I.

Duties include but are not limited to, compiling and preparing analytical reports for infection control, statistical compliance reports for administrative staff, probationary reports, performance evaluations, defensive driving training, validate trending documents and unusual analysis reports covering nine support services departments, approximately 500 employees with the administrative services branch; compiles data, researches, prepares article abstracts, analyzes fiscal information collected from a variety of sources to prepare fiscal and statistical reports, and completes ad hoc reports on a variety of complex and sensitive topics; reviews, research, and analyzes applicable policies and procedures, government codes and regulations, literature publications, and Bargaining Contract languages required for drafting administrative policies, guidelines, and memos; screens incoming inquiries and visitors, attend and organize meetings, assists with agendas, and take minutes. Maintain Hospital Administrator's Outlook calendar, scan documents for electronic filing, send outreaching correspondences, order office supplies, and provide coverage to other executive support team members. Provides support to the Executive Director during the absence of the Executive Analyst.

Working Conditions

Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital and was established in 1890 and opened in 1893. DSH-Patton provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area. The hospital does not accept voluntary admissions.

Working Conditions:

Physical ability to sit for extended periods, walk/stand for periods up to 30 minutes at a time, lift and carry up to 10 lbs., bend, reach, push, pull, squat, continue keyboarding and using computer mouse for frequent and extended periods, and apply fine hand motor movements as required for holding writing instruments, use of staplers, use of keyboard, and pushing buttons.
