Reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for conducting quality reviews across multiple functional areas, identifying trends, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to quality improvement and contribute innovative strategies to enhance operational performance.
Learn and understand processes across all functional areas to perform comprehensive quality reviews
Maintain a monthly quality score of 96% or higher and an "Approved” challenge percentage below 5%
Conduct objective, concise, and accurate quality assessments
Meet productivity standards across assigned functional areas
Serve as a subject matter resource on program and operational processes
Update and maintain quality monitoring data management systems
Support implementation and maintenance of quality assurance practices and controls
Track and ensure timely correction of returned quality assessments
Perform administrative support tasks for the Quality Team
Collaborate with other departments as needed
Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives
Perform additional duties as assigned
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management abilities
Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, detail-oriented work
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM
College degree preferred
Experience in government services, particularly health and human services
Public sector healthcare, Medicaid, and/or CHIP experience strongly preferred
Bilingual skills a plus
Office-based environment
Primarily sedentary role with regular use of computer and office equipment
Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds
May require overtime, including evenings or weekends
