POSITION SUMMARY
(The official title is Benefits Service Advisor)
Watkins is a relationship-driven agency where expertise, teamwork, and service excellence matter. We are hiring a Service Advisor to join our Employee Benefits department to support our employer group clients with benefits administration and help us maintain the trusted, high service experience they expect.
This position offers a strong starting point for someone eager to learn employee benefits through hands-on service work.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Guide with Care: Answer benefit questions, support claims resolution, and ensure employers and their employees feel informed and supported
Build and maintain enrollment platforms: Set up, renew, and maintain online enrollment platforms for open enrollment
Support open enrollment execution: Create custom open enrollment documents and materials that help employers communicate benefits clearly to their employees
Resolve billing issues: Research billing discrepancies and work with carriers and internal teams to support accurate invoicing and resolution
Keep Work Moving: Work open activities daily, manage incoming mail, emails, and carrier documentation to meet service timelines, and prevent delays
Uphold Accuracy: Maintain organized, current and complete records to support service standards and compliance
Contribute to Client Satisfaction: Help ensure a smooth, positive experience by following workflows and supporting your team in delivering prompt, accurate service.
WHAT YOU BRING
Required
Active L&H License
Two-Three years of Employee benefits insurance experience (agency setting)
Knowledge of benefits administration
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Solid communication, organization, and follow-through
Preferred
Experience using Applied EPIC and/or Employee Navigator
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE
Exposure to carrier communication, billing research and claims support
Hands-on exposure to employee benefits administration
Experience working with online enrollment platforms like Employee Navigator
