Job Description
An advisor on AML and Sanctions Program subject matter specialties, communicates effective enterprise wide and business unit compliance program requirements and implications to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act, AML, USA PATRIOT ACT and Sanctions Program. Activities aim to prevent or identify illegal, unethical, or improper business practices. Ensures that Compliance Manuals, Front Office Manuals, policies and procedures accurately reflect current laws, rules, other regulatory requirements. Coordinates regulatory examinations and inquiries, including the coordination of interviews and information requests from regulatory agencies. Support key business initiatives by identifying AML and Sanctions risks and providing resolutions to manage these risks. Skills: Customer Risk Strategic Objectives Regulatory Requirements Compliance Reporting Risk Assessments Risk Control Decision Making Experience: 0-2 years financial and/or accounting experience required.

Function of the Group: Generating Revenue/Cost Reduction
Initiatives/Projects:
Industry Background: Compliance/Regulatory background with knowledge of Know Your Customer concepts in the banking industry.
Team Dynamic: Daily interaction with internal processing team of Underwriters, Compliance specialists and Canadian Sales Team. Communication through email and direct phone / Teams call contact.
Role/Responsibilities:
Responsible for the entry of incoming Know Your Customer (KYC) requests into source system (edge)
Ability to interpret customer provided organization documents to provide an understanding of beneficial owners, directors, involved parties, etc.
Answer KYC related questions related to customer within KYC source system.
Interact with Canadian Sales team to gather missing / incomplete data on customers. Update KYC cases with additional information once provided.
In down time, may be required to handle additional tasks within Vendor Finance such as entry of incoming customer applications for credit.
